Operations Manager - amoen@phoenixeagles.com

  • I grew up in Minneapolis, MN and moved out to Phoenix in 2018 for college. I graduated from Grand Canyon University (GCU) with a BS in Business Management and Marketing. Right after graduating I worked in finance for almost a year and a half until starting with the Phoenix Eagles. I enjoy being outside and staying active, reading, and spending time with my friends!

  • The Phoenix Eagles are a new office within MAI. As a result, we have an opportunity to build a foundation for this ministry. Ministry for me will be focused on college students in three specific ways. First, I will help plan and lead Eagles Campus Fellowship (ECF) at Grand Canyon University. ECF creates an environment for students to build meaningful relationships with each other through the game of soccer and by diving into God’s Word together in small groups. There are many students who come to ECF who don’t have a relationship with the Lord, and it is our desire is to share Christ’s love through all we do. Secondly, through our well-established relationship with the GCU and specifically with the soccer ministry student leaders, I will have the opportunity to plan student leader events. This will include team bonding activities, leader retreats, hosting sports ministry training sessions, and leading international tours. We want to cultivate community within the leadership team, and be a support system to leaders as they lead in their own ministries. Lastly, I have been able to get to know a lot of young women through ECF and now have the privilege to disciple a few of them. Looking to Jesus as my example, His disciples were his closest friends. Jesus invited them into His life to be a part of His ministry. They studied together, ate together, carried one another's burdens, spurred each other on, encouraged one another. Now, I have the privilege to do life with college students. My hope is that as we develop deep relationships with one another, they will be confident to go out into the world and also make disciples.

  • While a student at GCU I was involved in an on-campus soccer ministry, at the time was called COSDECOL USA. This ministry was started in 2018 as an extension of a soccer ministry and club in Medellin, Colombia called COSDECOL. After graduating I had the opportunity to take on a leadership role and continue to serve with COSDECOL USA. As the ministry in Phoenix continued to grow, we were able to develop a relationship with Missionary Athletes International through COSDECOL. In January 2023, by the grace of God, we officially became a non-profit organization through Missionary Athletes International and are now the Phoenix Eagles.

I am so honored to be an Eagle and work alongside those who share the same goal: to glorify God and to see others transformed by the gospel. Each person I have met at MAI has challenged me to trust the Lord with every part of my life, which led me to leave the corporate world to pursue a full-time position with the Phoenix Eagles. God gave me a passion for soccer, to be able to use that passion to share the love of Christ is a gift.
